    Process Optimization

    Problem & Challenges

Field associates (Superintendents) inspect residential properties under harsh, unpredictable conditions: unpowered homes with dim lighting, bright outdoor glare, spotty cellular connectivity, and tight daily schedules. Legacy workflows relied on fragmented paperwork or desktop-bound software, leading to high error rates, missed appliance defects, and inconsistent lease certification standards across regional teams.

    Inclusive UX & Error Recovery

    • Inclusive Field Ergonomics: Built to support diverse associate demographics across varying ages, technical comfort levels, and physical backgrounds. The UI features dynamic text scaling, switchable left/right-hand thumb-reach zones for one-handed iPad carrying, and WCAG AAA high-contrast visual tokens for direct sunlight readability.
    • Error Prevention & Gap Mitigation: High-speed field work invites accidental misclicks. The interface implements auto-saving offline buffers, explicit visual indicators for missing required photos, and multi-step confirmation modals before finalizing lease pass/fail certifications to prevent costly false approvals.
    • Standardized & Unbiased Auditing: Standardized rating scales ensure objective property assessments, removing subjective bias regarding home condition across different neighborhood classes and tenant profiles.

    Usability & Mobile UX

    Problem & Challenges

The Let’s Go micro-mobility app (renting e-scooters, e-bikes, and portable power chargers) suffered from critical usability flaws, leading to a disastrous 2.9-star rating in app stores. Users experienced unlock failures, confusing active rental timers, hidden fee structures, and poor outdoor screen readability under direct sunlight.

    Inclusive UX & Error Recovery

Designed for diverse urban commuters acting under time constraints or physical distractions. Implemented high-visibility color tokens that stand out in glare, acoustic/haptic feedback for successful vehicle unlocks, and proactive modal alerts when a user enters a non-parking zone to avoid unexpected fines.

App Store rating elevated from 2.9 to 3.6 within 2 months of the post-redesign release and ongoing.

Substantial reduction in negative customer reviews related to vehicle unlock friction and payment clarity.

Multi-vehicle option adhered to in the first release of the new app designs.
