Problem & Challenges
The Let’s Go micro-mobility app (renting e-scooters, e-bikes, and portable power chargers) suffered from critical usability flaws, leading to a disastrous 2.9-star rating in app stores. Users experienced unlock failures, confusing active rental timers, hidden fee structures, and poor outdoor screen readability under direct sunlight.
Inclusive UX & Error Recovery
Designed for diverse urban commuters acting under time constraints or physical distractions. Implemented high-visibility color tokens that stand out in glare, acoustic/haptic feedback for successful vehicle unlocks, and proactive modal alerts when a user enters a non-parking zone to avoid unexpected fines.

Methodologies & Process
01
Heuristic Usability Overhaul
Mapped and eliminated friction points across the physical-to-digital rental flow.
02
Field Accessibility Testing
Audited interface contrast and hit states under realistic outdoor conditions.
03
User Journey Mapping
Streamlined the app-to-vehicle unlock sequence to under 5 seconds.
Outcomes & Business Impact
